Improving the fibre value and productivity of our alpacas while consolidating black colour genetics is top of the agenda at Inca Alpaca. Each generation we produce must have a correct frame that grows a commercial fleece while keeping a good temperament and fertility. Each generation must have a stronger and more uniform genetic background, which gives predictability and uniformity in future generations. This improvement can only occur when we choose the correct stud sire for each female on the farm.
The last 12 years alpaca breeding has given us a good understanding of how fibre and bone characteristics in our bloodstock are expressed in their progeny. We also understand the importance of setting in place firm family lines while attempting to genetically fix certain fibre and bone characteristics in these lines. Through the mistakes and success that we have achieved we now have in place breeding strategies that are improving the fineness and yield of our black fleeces while gaining fibre production predictability.
The herd sires at the centre of our breeding programme including Atlantic Cambridge Centurion are now available to like minded breeders. These A and B LINE sires are proving to be show winners themselves and all come from very high quality and uniform bloodlines. They are the result of the very latest breeding in Australia and here in the UK with all sires carrying highly productive fine fleeces and desirable frames.
Inca Alpaca offers these sires for On Farm, Drive By and Mobile services. We can advise and work closely with
breeders in the selection of the sire for your females and work on achieving the results that will increase your herds productivity. Breeders are welcome to view and learn more about the herd sires by appointment. Discounts for multiple services and deferred payment options are available. Please see Stud Male Terms and Conditions for more details. Please Contact Us for an appointment or for further information.
